Chris Stebly is a successful Ocean Springs artist and fisherman whose love for the Gulf Coast’s natural beauty shines through in water colors, block prints, and murals. He is also the grandson of Walter Inglis Anderson a very well-known American artist. Chris was born in 1967 in Ocean Springs Mississippi. He grew up on a tract of land known as Shearwater. This land was purchased by his great grandmother Annette McConnell Anderson. It was Annette’s firm intention that her children become artists. It was her husband, George Walter Anderson’s intention that they make a living from it. The tradition lives on from generation to generation.
