Pass Christian Soap Co. ~ Southern Gentleman

Pass Soap got its start in much the same way that Hillyer House did; out of necessity, in a home in Pass Christian…and a major hurricane was involved.  From the first day these products were put on the shelf, they’ve been a huge hit!  We were thrilled to be the first retail home for these products & they will always have a home on in the shop!  Southern Gentleman has hints of lavender, citrus, berries and a touch of sandlewood…just how he would smell if a day of working outdoors remained after a hot shower!

Body Creme ~ 8.5 oz  $21

Body Wash ~ 8.5oz $14

Soap Slices ~ hand cut at the factory in Pass Christian ~ approx. 5.2oz  $8

Pass Christian Soap was founded in a small town that prides itself on hometown loyalty, Pass Christian, MS.  Pass Soap was born after founder, Paula Lindsay, realized that all of the “Fancy” soaps at the shops in town were imported.  After a little experimenting, and gift making for friends and family, the recipe was perfected and they began to sell their product.  In the early part of 2005, Paula was quickly outgrowing the confines of her kitchen as she and her mom were working feverishly to keep up with their growing business.  The move to a larger space in Gulfport was planned, but on August 29, 2005 everything changed with the arrival of Hurricane Katrina.  After the storm, it took nearly 8 months to get settled enough even to begin to start over.  On August 29, 2008 the grand opening of the new shop was held in Pass Christian and since being featured by Robin Roberts on Good Morning America in 2011, business has skyrocketed.  The products are currently being sold at MGM Grand in Las Vegas, and has been featured in Coastal Living, Travel Girl, and many other publications.  As a small town business, Paula will always be loyal and grateful to the town and people that helped build and rebuild this thriving business.
