What a beautiful day it was to welcome two new artisans to Hillyer House! Alex North and Michael Hewes joined us on Saturday, May 21st, to showcase their work!
Alex North is a resident and native to the gulf coast area and is an AMAZINGLY talented Gulf Coast photographer. He is known for capturing coastal and scenic views as well as coastal wildlife. His photographs will literally take your breath away! From all of us here at Hillyer House – who have lived from Bay St. Louis to Pascagoula – Thank you Alex for reminding us through your stunning pictures to be thankful for this gorgeous place that we call home!
Michael Hewes is a native to the area as well, and just released his first novel, “Watermark”, a thriller that involves a man returning home after Hurricane Katrina to find more than just his house in ruins. If you are a John Grisham fan, you should definitely add this fast-paced legal thriller to your list of must-reads! A big thank you to Michael for coming to sign books and visit with us!
In addition to welcoming these two men’s work to the Hillyer House collection, we were also able to raise $783 for the Salvation Army of the MS Gulf Coast! Hillyer House loved partnering with the community and these two new artisans to help out such a worthy cause!
