Jennifer Schmidt’s Oyster Trees have been a huge hit at Hillyer House! Versatile enough to display year round, the oysters in these beautiful pieces are individually hand-picked, cleaned, and sealed. We love to stack a large grouping together in the center of a table for a dramatic tablescape, line them up organically on a mantle, or have them sprinkled around the house for a cheerful moment in any room.
The Mini Oyster Tree measures 3”x3.5”x10.5”.
After losing her home in Hurricane Katrina, Jennifer Schmidt decided to use natural elements to create new pieces to decorate new spaces. She had always admired the beauty within the oyster shell and formed them into a tree shape for her table. Each oyster tree, much like the oysters they are made of, is unique.
